Anyone going to JRAD or Phish in CO this week?

Forums:

If so, maybe I'll see you there.

Stream us.

You don't want my stream.

what's your favorite type of noodle?

Pool noodle.

Did you get your plague vaccination or are you opting for a full tie-dyed hazmat suit?

Just landed. I got the flight attendant to announce: whatever you do take care of your shoes.

You must have flown Southwest.

I did. Business Select.

I've seen their flight attendants do some pretty weird shit.

Flight attendant was pretty lame but she did her best.

Shoe was good!

Is that sax player a permanent addition to the band now?  He was at the Greek and the Frost shows.

*What fascinates me about JRAD (as it did for my 47 years with the GD) is that the "miracle" often happens when least expected and on a song that one would never expect the band to kill.  Last night, this happened on Cats under the Stars.  Simply stated, JRAD both extended it out incredibly and nailed it completely.

no teases?

No Dolly.

Joe Russo appeared to be crying during Broke down Palace. It was very emotional.

...and a nod to Phish of course :-)

I'm striking out on a stream. Any help?

Damn, I'm listening to the 2nd set from last night; deeeeep jamming on Bird Song & Feel Like A Stranger. That's what I like to hear, real improv from quality players.

And that sax player sounds less "in front"/much more integrated in the sound than the other shows I've listened to.

These guys are good, and it sounds like they were really digging in last night.

This show was webcast via Live Phish. Can't Always Listen was performed for the first time since December 30, 2015 (142 shows). Free's lyrics were changed to "flea" as a reference to an outbreak of plague transferred by fleas to prairie dogs in the Commerce City area. Trey teased Tired of Waiting for You In Everything's Right. As a further nod to the outbreak, Amie by Pure Prairie League was the postshow music.

Just a heads up for the noobs: don’t park in the EAST LOT. That’s where the Uber exit it.

Even if you bail before the show is over (?) it will take forever to get out. I’d try the Quebec lot especially if you speak French. It was half-empty! Sacré-blëü!!!

Are you going to be at the show tonight?

No we are skipping tour the rest of the year because of the impending recession. :(

Just couch tour. Setlist wasn’t my cup of tea but I though much of it sounded good. Some of it was rough. Rift comes to mind.

You going all three nights?

Thats too bad.  Yep ... all three. They seemed to find their stride in the second set.  Took your advice and parked in a different lot.

Nice man have a good show I hope leaving goes better.

Might be very easy leaving if the same security guard who somehow spotted me on the floor without a proper wristband spots me again ... made it back within 5 minutes

Set break.... still haven't been kicked off floor, but will likely have to pay for water very soon ... no way I'll make it otherwise :-(

Something is off. They aren’t *NSYNC.

Granted, Tube had some fine playing and Slave was great as usual but they still seemed to be shaking off a bit of rust. Today is pointing to a strong Sunday show.

I thought they were on it mostly ... really liked the extended jam in Ghost.

(woke up in a cold sweat after realizing I had paid $7 for water!)

>>>>(woke up in a cold sweat after realizing I had paid $7 for water!)

vibes dude. will they let you bring an empty or sealed water bottle in?

Yes, at least a sealed one up to 32oz.   Aside from cost, I don't like to ever buy bottled water ... nor do I like to hold on to it at a show.   Having said that, the tap water there is rediculously bad tasting.

I'll give you a sneak preview from the zone first:
