I saw him in Chapel Hill. Early and Late show in '87. He broke more strings than anyone I have ever seen. At least one a song. that being said he was really good.
I saw Albert at least a dozen times in the 1980's. All in nightclubs in Chicagoland. Biddy Mulligans and Fitzgerald's come to mind. First guy I ever saw play blues with a capo on the 6th fret! His horn player would play two saxophones at one time on occasion.
