May 16, 17, 19 at Stanford Stadium

Forums:

Big concert planned May 16,17 and 19 at Stanford Stadium.

Rumor is Mayer and Friends, aka Dead Co

Blech.

But, y'know, see y'all there probably.

not everybody likes licorice

but people who like stale licorice

really like stale licorice

LOL

Mayer has friends?

No spot taken.

The bus came by and I got uninterested.

Was just watching a clip fro Phil, Warren & Sco at Mountain Jam.

Glad that the old guys are soldiering on. Like Count Basie .... play until you drop.

But

SO damn Slow...

There's a bunch of other Stadium Shows I'd rather see. This new* concert  venue is actually very good.

And if anyone is considering going now is a good time to grab a room reservation at the Sheraton or  Weston in P.A. which are walking distance to the stadium.

Easy walking from Caltrain too.

Probably, since I might be working the event(s). Ticket prices will likely range from $300 to ten times that for multiple VIP options.

I've got more big shows lined up next year than usual already so unlikely I'd make this even if it hit the road again

Even with the steep decline in the birthrate, it's good to know that suckers are still being born every minute.

And don't forget the millions in official merchandise that will sold. I expect the shows will sell out fast, cause eveyone wants to see the "Grateful Dead". Yeah, I know..

There's an ass for every seat.

This circus started on the Peninsula, maybe the universe is going full circle for a grand finale.

(In that case, I missed the beginning and will miss the very end. I can say, with utmost certainty, some of the middle was pretty damn fun.)

As stadiums go, Stanford is a really good one.

As whining goes, if this does turn out to be Dead $ Co. then these shows will provide the whiners with plenty of opportunities to whine.

It's win/win.
